The Building Child Care (BCC) Project provides a centralized clearinghouse of information and services to increase the California child care sector's understanding of the facilities development and financing process and access to facility development resources. It was developed as part of the Building Child Care Project that was funded by the California Department of Education for 10 years, ending October 2010.
With the assistance and input of many others across the state, the four collaborative partners on this project combined their experience, resources and expertise to build a network of information and services for people interested in acquiring, building, renovating, or expanding child care facilities. These partners were:
* Insight Center for Community Economic Development
* The California Child Care Resource and Referral Network
* The Children's Collabrium
* The Low Income Investment Fund
While this website has remained live, resources have not been added or updated, and the technical assistance, toll-free helpline, newsletters and webinars have been suspended.
We are pleased to announce that the Local Investment in Child Care (LINCC) partners will now oversee the website and hope to gain support to update and add new information. Some of the publications are dated, but the website offers a plethora of resources that will be helpful.
